Interim Chief - William Pitmon

Lt. Pitmon currently serves the City of Bee Cave as the Interim Chief of Police.

Lt. Pitmon began his career serving as an Infantryman in the United States Army, before becoming a Texas Licensed Peace Officer in 1995. Lt. Pitmon worked as a Deputy Constable for Denton County, before serving in the Fugitive Investigations/Warrants Division with the Denton County Sheriff’s Office. While serving in Denton County, Lt. Pitmon was assigned to misdemeanor and felony fugitive unit, the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, and sworn as a Special Deputy Marshal of the US Marshal’s Service. After his tour with the Denton County Sheriff’s Office, he worked as a narcotics investigator for the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office where he was assigned to the Brazos Valley Narcotics Task Force.

Lt. Pitmon holds a Texas Commission of Law Enforcement Master Peace Officer’s License, TCOLE Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Field Training Officer, and a wide variety of specialized training. He has also presented at several conferences as a guest speaker over various law enforcement topics.
